Cosmic Crisp apples were developed in Washington State by crossing Enterprise and Honeycrisp.  The goal of this cross was to make an apple as delicious and well-loved as Honeycrisp, but with a longer storage life.  The Cosmic Crisp did just that and are now a well-known favorite apple for many!

The breeding of Cosmic Crisp started in 1997 and was ready for consumers in 2019. Did you know? Cosmic Crisp are an exclusive variety grown only in Washington State until 2029!

Cosmic Crisp apples range in color from a light red to almost black. They got their name from the dark skin color and white freckles on their skin, making them look... cosmic! They are rather large apples that have a crisp and creamy flesh with a sweet and complex flavor profile.

When you receive your apples, make sure you store them in the fridge for the longest shelf life.

Good quality

The apples are very good, though sweeter than I was expecting. They go well simmered with oatmeal!
