White Donut Peaches are flat, round peaches with a dimple on each end. Like most white fleshed fruit, these peaches are low in acid and high in sugar! You can tell they are perfectly ripe when the skin on the top and near the center of the peach gets a little translucent looking.  

White peaches are native to China, specifically to regions along the Yangzi River, and have been cultivated for thousands of years. Throughout the 19th century, White peaches were often considered inferior to yellow peaches in America and were fed to livestock. It wasn’t until the 1980s that White peaches began to rise in demand, favored for their sweeter, less tangy flesh.

Storage: Keep your donut peaches on the counter until they reach your desired ripeness. Place them in the fridge to keep a few more days. ** White fleshed fruits ripen more quickly than yellow fleshed fruits due to a higher sugar content.
